Animals that are allowed to free range are healthier and less stressed than those raised on a concrete floor. 

Chickens raised indoors don’t get the fresh green vegetation, insects, and grubs that they naturally deserve. Chickens are not vegetarians! A healthy free range diet along with a high quality grain feed are key to a happy chicken. We are able to free-range our chickens, even with predators like eagles, hawks, fox, coyote, timberwolf, fisher and bobcat (just to name a few.) We do this by using mobile free-range coops in some cases and protective fence in others.
